Nowadays, many people study English regardless of their nationalities.

Why are they trying to learn to speak
in English? Some people say that we

can live easily if we can communicate
in English, but some say that studying

English is useless. There are advantages
and disadvantages to studying

English.

 최근 많은 사람들이
그들의 국적과 관련 없이 영어를 공부하고 있습니다. 그들은 왜 영어로 말하는 것을 배우려 할까요? 몇몇의 사람들은 영어로 의사소통이 가능하다면 삶이 편해질 것이라 합니다. 그러나
그것만이 영어를 배우는 주된 이유는 아닙니다. 영어를 공부하는데 있어 많은 장, 단점들이 있습니다.

One advantage is that people who can speak in English are needed by the world.
Because most people think English is the first language that people commonly use
in the world. For example, every important conventions and meetings like G20 is
held in English, and many mass media want to broaden their news in English to spread
it to world. So people who can speak in english are in demanded by many companies
regardless of their countries, and they can live conveniently and acquire
higher position than the others who can not speak in English.

한가지 장점으로는 세계는 영어를 사용하는 사람들을 필요로 하고 있습니다.
왜냐하면 대부분의 사람들이 세계에서 영어가 가장 널리 쓰인다고 생각하기 때문입니다.
예를 들자면,
G20과 같은 거의 모든 중요한 회의 그리고 박람회들이 영어권 국가 안에서 개최되고 있습니다.
그리고 많은 대중 미디어들이 영어로 그들의 정보를 세계로 알립니다.
많은 고용회사들이 국적과 관련 없이 영어사용자들을 요구하고 있습니다.
그리고 그들은 영어를 사용하지 못하는 사람보다 보다 편안한 위치 높은 지위로서 삶을 영위할 수 있습니다.

Moreover, people who can speak in English have more opportunities to succeed
in their lives. For instance, many Korean universities require high score in English
subject. The name of university often to better chances of getting a job. Furthermore,
many companies respect employees who are good at speaking English. Also, businessman
wanting his business offshore must know how to speak in English. So these
things tell us why studying English is very important in our lives to succeed.

게다가 영어를 구사할 줄 아는 사람들은 성공적인 삶을 사는데 더 많은 기회를 접할 수 있습니다.
예를 들면 많은 한국의 대학교들이 높은 영어점수를 요구하고 있습니다.
좋은 학교를 출신일수록 좋은 직장을 얻을 기회는 많습니다.
게다가 많은 회사들이 영어를 잘 구사 할 수 있는 구직자를 원하고 있습니다.
또한 해외업무를 하는 직장인들은 영어를 구사할 줄 알아야만 합니다.  이런 상황들은 우리에게 성공적인 삶을 사는데 영어가 정말 중요하다는 것을 말해주고 있습니다.

 However, there are also some disadvantages to studying
English. First, for a person whose first language is not English, it requires
them lots of effort, time and money to accomplish it. Korean people start learning
English when they are 3'd grade in elementary school. They really spent a lot of
money and time on studying English compared to the students of other countries,
but there is no guarantee that they can really master English even though they try.

그러나 영어를 공부하는데 있어 단점들 또한 존재합니다. 첫째, 이러한 영어는 사람을 위한 언어가 아닙니다. 성공을 위해 많은 노력, 시간 그리고 돈을 요구하고 있습니다. 대부분의 한국사람들은 초등학교 3학년 때부터 영어를 배우기 시작합니다. 다른나라 학생들과 비교해서 한국의 학생들은 정말 많은 돈과 시간을 영어를 공부하는데 소비하고 있습니다.
그러나 이러한 노력들이 있음에도 불구하고 그들이 정말 영어를 잘하는지는 보장할 수가 없습니다.

 Also, to study English is useless sometimes.
Many people are forced to study despite the fact that they do not need to do that.
For example, teachers grade their students who want to draw or sing according to
English score. Those students are pressed to study English although they are busy
developing their talent. It is a waste of time, definitely.

 또한 영어를 공부하는 것이 때로는 불필요할 수가 있습니다. 많은 사람들은 그들의 삶에 영어가 크게 필요 없음을 알고도 영어 공부를 억지로 하기도 합니다.
예들들면 선생님들은 그들의 학생들이 노래를 하고 싶거나 그림을 그리고 싶어하는 것에 관여하지 않습니다.
오로지 영어점수에 관심이 있습니다.
또한 그런 학생들의 능력은 영어공부를 위해 개발시키지 못합니다.
이것은 정말 시간낭비입니다.

In conclusion, there are advantages and disadvantages to studying English.
People are in demand worldwide if they can speak in English, and there are more
possibilities to make a bright life. However, it requires people lots of time and
money, also, sometimes to study English is useless in their lives.
